Brief of the project:
This project of a network of towns between five European hubs (capitals and regional major cities recognized by labels of European capitals): Paris, Sarajevo, Timișoara and Gdansk, that all together want to initiate major events, and cross exchanges of participants, about current various priorities of the Union, such like the environment, next European elections, European values, Human rights and Peace, especially in the context of the war in Ukraine, and civic engagement. The starting point of the cooperation are the Paris Olympic games as they would ensure maximum international, European and local visibility and participation. From then, a dynamic encompassing the other participating cities, all with other major European actuality at the moment, will be developed. Another peculiarity of this initiative is that it will be mostly implemented through youth civic engagement and European mobility All actions will mobilize indeed mixed teams of full time, long term, stipended volunteers (what is called civic service projects), both national and European, mixed together in joint teams. Not only will they be leading the implementation of projects, under the coordination of partners, but also exchange together, as their involvement will be articulated around a two step program, first in their domestic territory, then in one of the other partners in another country
This fits perfectly our general aim to strengthen cultural exchanges, the European spirit of belonging, the knowledge of oneself and others, the adaptation to a new culture, through active European civic engagement, a strong congruence with the three milestones of our cooperation : local environmental and Human rights volunteerings, preparations of EU elections 2024, and Olympic spirit of cooperation and peace through efforts.
The relevance of the project is based on important cultural rapprochements between Paris, Sarajevo, Timișoara, and Gdansk concerning the enrichment of European youth, volunteering, culture, sport, and environmental matters that allow to develop a positive cooperation between the citizens

The Timis County Youth Foundation is pleased to invite you to the exhibition "The Book of Portraits" by local artist Alina Sferle, starting with direct interaction with her. This event is part of the Connectowns2U project.
The event will take place on August 2, 2024, starting at 8pm, in the εpsilon gallery located in the Youth House.
"The Book of Portraits" is a fascinating collection of digital drawings by Alina Sferle that explores human diversity through portraits of people from different eras and cultures. This exhibition is not only an artistic demonstration, but also an introspective journey into personal identities and histories captured using modern techniques.
Alina Sferle, known for her artistic sensibility, created these portraits during daily recreational drawing sessions, using digital techniques at a time when traditional materials were barely available. Her work reflects not only her drawing technique, but also the artist's ability to adapt in the face of challenges.

FITT is pleased to invite you to the opening of the "Reflections" exhibition, which will take place on August 4, 2024, from 7:00 pm, in the theater studio behind the Youth House. This event is part of the Connectowns2U project.
The painting exhibition entitled "Réflexions" is an invitation into the world of painting seen through the eyes of two young artists: Adela Murărescu and Constantin Popovici. This collection of works reveals landscapes through the artist's filter, each canvas capturing the essence of nature through natural vibrations and the imprint of the artists' deepest thoughts.
The exhibition opening will take place before the Fără Zahăr concert, and spectators will have access to the exhibition.

FITT invites you to the meeting to explore the opportunities and challenges of volunteering at local level, organized within the Connectowns2U project.
The event aims to bring together local and international volunteers, local voluntary organizations and public administration representatives, as well as a representative from the European Civic Service, who will present the model of the French national volunteering programme.
So, we look forward to welcoming you on August 7, from 13:00 to 15:00, at the Youth House, in the Information Center to explore the impact and challenges of volunteering, as well as directions and support mechanisms. We aim to create a collaborative environment in which we can share good practice, discover successful volunteering programs and encourage dialog between the different sectors involved in volunteering.
