Brief of the project:
Youth is EU aims to bring together a committee of young ambassadors who will cooperate for the duration of the project, both in person and digitally. The project is based on two interconnected lines of action, associated with specific objectives and actions.
Firstly, the project aims to raise young people's awareness of the functions, objectives, relevance and context of Europe, so as to increase their knowledge, skills and critical analysis. This will be achieved through the creation of digital content developed by young people for other young people across Europe, on the theme of EU youth policy and institutions.
Building on this knowledge and awareness, the second line of action is to encourage democratic participation and foster an active sense of European citizenship among young people. This will be made possible by an innovative, youth-friendly platform where young people can put forward ideas, initiatives, guidelines and projects to be promoted to the main institutions, to represent the EU they want to see in the years to come.
Public proposal "The voice of young citizens" :
This document presents some of the most popular ideas put forward by the young people who took part in the call for ideas. It also presents the development of the project and the results obtained.
With this overview, we aim to encourage key political decision-makers, local and European institutions and stakeholders to prioritize young people's voices and promising ideas in order to develop a more inclusive, youth-oriented and sustainable EU.
