The Collective for a European Civic Service

The Collective for a European Civic Service is a French association founded in 2018 in Paris which aims to extend European mobility to all young Europeans through the creation of a European civic service (6 months in the country of origin followed by 6 months in the European country of their choice), giving young people the opportunity to live a full year of European experience.

It still carries, in this European Year of Youth, one of the flagship projects of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, mentioned by President Emmanuel Macron during his speeches on December 9, 2021 and January 20, 2022. , anniversary date of the Erasmus+ programme.

Already equipped with two promotions in Metz and Strasbourg, launched with Unis-Cité, one in Trento in Italy, and working on the creation of several others in France and in Europe (Spain, Malta, Balkans), the Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen stands today as a driving force for the democratization of European youth mobility.

Finally, as part of its development abroad, the Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen has forged strong links with associations and institutions throughout Europe and plans to organize key events in the coming months several countries on the continent.

The Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen (CSCE) is a movement of young people, and of French association law, working for the generalization for all young Europeans of an experience of civic service in another Member State. It intends to respond to the Union's major societal challenges, in particular the climate and environmental emergency, while laying the foundations for active European citizenship. It brings together around this idea the major players in national civic services.
